The journey starts for me in Maspalomas, on the south coast of Gran Canaria. I leave beautiful Dunas and take a bus to San Bartolome’ de Tirajana. From there it’s about 15km of amazing mountain walk towards La Cumbre to reach the highest peak of the island – Roque Nublo 1949m…and make it on time for the last bus back!

Fuerteventura

Wonderful hiking trip around 12km long – one way – from La Pared to la Cofete beach. It’s not the easiest way to reach Cofete but there is not such. Certainly worthy of seeing 10km of wild beach. The way I’ve chosen is however quite simple and enjoyable – just following the amazing coast. The way back is trough the desert.

Mystic wood…

One of my lonely walks on the island included this mystic wood surrounded by the clouds. Quite easy to get there, to spend hours hiking in uncrowded terrain and admire the nature. Many routs to chose, which make it ideal for mindful walks.
